i auctioned my long time owned 78 911sc on bring a trailer( bat.com)and sold it well.Lots of friends have asked about my Thing. Not selling it even though I cant drive it now or soon.IT is too hard ...

seems like a lot of cars are now flat black or other flat colors, I am not a big fan, except on a few models, my thing is burgundy I want to paint it in signal orange, more like ots irigibnal color.

welcome to the wacky world of the thing. they are a lot of fun and I truly have enjoyed mine,it is the anthesis of a muscle car.I dont miss the big power .

this is the set up i used to tow my thing home when purchased, about 30 miles, very smooth.

so this worked. I added a hose from the breather to the oil fill tube. No leakage at all now, and the Thing seems to even run better...

I drove by an old 60's bus for a few years parked in a front yard. No sign on it or anything. When I went by this year it was gone. Silly me for not stopping to ask about it. Hindsight is 20 20

I truly enjoy driving the Thing especially in nice weather, but I have even gotten a kick out of it in the rain. Only a bikini top on mine.
Longer rides are fun , but I don't like driving it on the h ...

I found non ethanol gas, if you can get it, makes a big difference.

all good ideas, and try a can pf BrakeKleen spray. Used liberally the stuff works.
