Checked all the vacuum lines for cracks etc...

So I am correct in thinking the throttle plate should be closed all the way at idle right?

Yup. Oil was 180F and CHT temp was 350F.

I have come to the conclusion for the 87 it is the 24 inch line part # 251 721 477 J that is male on one and female on the other. I will order one up. Thanks for the input.

So mine is a 2WD.

Here is a picture where it goes from the clear plastic slave line to the main metal line down the body. I take it Female to Male.

So with the temp change in November I had the drips on my floor mat. I knew it was the clutch master. I ordered up a new clutch master and slave as I know they are good to repair at the same time.

How is your double relay? I just looked at a diagram and it looks like the power relay side talks to the L-Jet Harness.

My 85 Westy (H6) returns the same mileage as my 90 Carat (bone stock).

That is impressive. When I had my SVX the H6 would only yield 200miles to a 60Liter tank.

I agree. My tin top gets better gas mileage than my Westy. So all Westy owners should double up. Twice the fun or twice the pain Smile

Your Master Cylinder has probably bitten the dust. Sometimes when you bleed the brakes and the MC is on its way out that can be the final kick at the can.
