I'm not aware of any issues on Buses originally equipped with 15" wheels and I have done that before with stock-sized 14" wheels with radial tires.

16" wheels would be a Barndoor Bus ...

For most split buses, including a 59 deluxe, the lower back corner panels were painted, not vinyl covered.

Sometimes a later beam gets installed. It is a straight bolt on, so easily done. This gives you bigger brakes!
You may find the transaxle is also later. And the engine as well.

I was impressed with this one. The guy who had the bus said it smelled really moldy and had to go. I imagine it was installed in the seventies.

FWIW, 25hp through 2 l engine bolt up to a tranny the same.
While something that strength could work, I like a more heavy duty engine stand.

The brouchure shows colours that came out in April 1961 used through end 1964 model year. Plus the yellow.

Often motors are missing tin.
This motor I put in my 66 kombi ten years ago was, so I stripped it to long block, torqued heads (1/2 head had 7 of 8 nuts loose)
