The pan is done and I have a new seal. Oddly enough Iím missing a bracket that goes from the pedal assembly to the pan. Gotta dig around for that but I can always do that later.

All that goes there is a wide clamp - there's no rubber.

Even if you don't use the heat - it's a good idea to get the clamp on it to help keep the exhaust stench out of the car.

Thanks for the advice guys. I did use white grease on the shins. My friend came by today and helped me out. He used a magnet and pulled the drive out and we reset the ignition timing. Crisis averted. ...
