You need to remove the fan shroud along with the generator/alternator. There's an engine case stud that holds the center section.

Red is a high visibility color... a power color. aka "arrest me red".

But in my situation... it wouldn't help. It was a matter of physics. a 60,000lb vehicle traveling at 35mph needs way ...

I sell all those parts. There is a c-clip and a washer in there. They are $1 each.

If you can pull on the shaft and it doesn't move the clip is probably there. You will need to put a piece of felt ...
