DO NOT use that cast flywheel in a bus. You will shred it within long. Believe me. Use a German or a "cromemoly" flywheel. Lightened or not, your choice.

There's two ways to set the compression, either adding spacers UNDER the cylinders or changing the cc's of the heads. For a Bus, i'd suggest nothing over 8.5:1 cr. Most times standard off the shelf sh ...

You'll need an adapter.

I suggest getting a rebuilt German carb and distributor. Yes, they're more expensive but they will work right out of the box and save you hours of trouble.

Years ago had a guy with no compression on #1 and #3. We dropped the old strainer and found the cause....

His cam was flat.
