Ok, so it is tension on the pin that keeps the clip in place. I'll try a washer or two.

I will try and tap the anti-rotation plates in then. The rotors are new, so perhaps that's one reason why it's such a tight fit.

Ya, so I may have just stripped one of the drive shaft bolts with the hex heads... Can these be easily replaced? Argh, figures.

Here's an update from the rebuilder;

Cylinder #2 was fried, worst he's seen. The crank is good, looks like cam and lifters are trash. Crank and case out for machining. Here's the proof..
