Yep it was a complete Vanagon seal kit from West Coast Metric. I would have used the original seal but the glass shop before me completely destroyed it.

We broke 2 new ones and an original from the junkyard. It's the seals 100%.

A lot of car & motorcycle makers were messing with flat motors in the early 1900's including Fiat, Steyr Puch, VW/Porsche, BMW, and many others forgotten in time.

If you are serious about fixing the movement in the pickup tube, I would recommend splitting the case and peening it as per the Bentley instructions.

Take both front wheels off and measure their offset or look for an ET stamp on the back side.

Angle the seat bottom so the front sits in the metal rail first. Then hit the back corners of the seat bottom and it will pop down into place.

All of the aftermarket/EMPI/China electrical ignition switches are junk. ALL OF THEM including the one Wolfsburg West is selling (Chinese)

Here is my final version of the stereo kit for padded dash bug. In some of the pics it looks bowed but it's not, it's actually the dash pad that has a slight bow.

I love 3d printing. I mostly print gun parts but do other stuff for the VW's too. I made a steering column bushing for Super Beetle and early watercooled.
