Both were busted in pieces and kinda fell apart when I took them apart

Looks like there are three different sizes sold on airhead parts
The part number you need for a 71
311-721-361
That's on airheads parts maybe there are more
It didn't give measurements to help ...

They were mismatched heads
Big valves and small valves
The big valves head have a crack between valves so not sure what to do with them

Ridge on cylinders
Looks like a spun rod bearing bearing on the crank

Also looks like some damage to a lifter bore and some type of damage to ...

RareAir had the best comment so far to bypass the ignition switch by hot wiring the coil up
Could a faulty ground somewhere do this ?

And your sure its in the electrical side?

I assumed it was for swapping exiting exhaust pipes and when not in use to put a cap over it if you had a stinger pipe. Just guessing
