Does the flocking exist on the inside of the pop top or was it removed by someone?

Flocking is still there but pretty worn.

This was top up. Zippers closed and a little cracked behind the stove ...

And Why a rebuilt motor with that Mileage? I would think that the stupid rubber water gaskets on the heads would have perished by now. Nobodies gaskets lasted for any where near thirty years!!!

I used the OEM Subaru airbox kinda half tucked into the LR D pillar. Aluminium tube and an elbow to connect to the throttle body.

I figured if Subaru thought it was the right way to go...

I use a tapered drift punch to locate and pin that first hole to hold it while I get a bolt in; super easy!
