Iíve fixed this two ways:
1(easiest)- use a coupling nut and a small piece of all thread or cut off bolt to lengthen stud.
2- you can use the end of an old gas tank strap to cut and weld the battery ...

I save those lever links off wasted heater boxes for this situation. With a small nut/bolt you can make those double length. They can also be bought in heater box lever kits.

Iíve got a 1600 , big nut trans with a 4.12 ring gear in my 66. It is comfortable on the highway at about 65. The trade off is more 3-4 shifting around town.

The left A pillar has 2 wires for the dome lights running through it. There is room for a couple more. Itís easier to fish from the top down. I donít know about the right.

The dome light on the air box is switched on the light itself since it is within reach. The switch on the speedo pod is for the rear light in a bus.

I donít remember what it is, but I saw it in the Wheels Through Time museum in Maggie Valley, NC. A very cool vintage motorcycle museum we stopped at on a trip to run the Dragon.

I took the same problem (locked, no key) to my local locksmith. He opened it easily.
