Why don't you look on the coil and see if it says 12v on it somewhere? No reason to replace it if that is not the problem.

It looks like a Weber progressive. Either way I'd throw that away and find something else.

running 2ft worth of hose is a lot of work? Confused

Wouldn't crawling under the car everytime you need check/fill the reservoir be more work?

You need the blue rubber brake hose. Fuel line will not hold up to the brake fluid.

Always replace wheel cylinders in pairs. If you do one rear make sure you do the other with it. If you don't it might be ok or it might pull to one side when you slam on the brakes.

Grab the top of the wheel and shake it. If there is play somewhere you will feel it.

My guess is the ring and pinion is bad.
