Hi all. I got a 65 beetle. Stock width beam. Stock transaxle. Stock drums.

What do I need to do to get a 17x7 brm to fix under the rear(dropped one outer spline right now),

Possibly the 1967 has most of the rear suspension Z-bar still attached?

It can create some road noise as most rubber bushings for it are long gone/missing pieces or not adjusted correctly.

We don't know till the engines pulled. It'll answer everything...

Excessive end play will beat up a main seal.

I have but quality ones cost quite a bit more than expected.

Some cheesy, cheap ones PA horn doesn't get very loud at all and sound terrible.

The best ones are ice cream truck quality ones, but ...

!/2 a quart is not overstating it. That's quite a bit.

I still suspect the engine. Main seal behind flywheel or the cam plug.

I've never seen a transmission pour oil from the bell housing area.

A possible bad input shaft seal... Terribly bad. I would still suspect the engine.

Also be sure the speedometer and cable is well lubed.

If the speedometer locks up say goodbye to the switch.

Yes, the bushings must fit snug onto the snouts of the plates while using tons of white, lithium grease. Tight, period.

If they do take some special bushing that's lame.
