I had this when all the shim washers on the distributor shaft departed. The rotor rubbed the cap as it pushed too far up due to all the play in the distributor shaft.

Just adjust it until your happy with it. Loosen that little nut on the back and move the stud up or down, very sensitive. Be gentle on the nut as it strips easily.

I haven't seen one. Look for a used hard copy, I just bought the one that was posted in the classifieds. Amazon has them on sale right now as well.
