Assume you were running 225/60r16, there are many tires in 225/55r17 that are XL load rated. Though it is 101 vs the OE 102 load rating, I think it will be close enough.

I'm not sure which hitch it is. GoWesty put it on for me. It's pretty beefy.
The bike is an 1190S, which is certainly a bit over 500 lbs.
Thank you for the feedback. Makes me feel better about hau ...

I don't have anything very constructive to add but I thought I'd share a couple of motorcycle/EVC photos.
I put a fairly large motorcycle on my hitch carrier but only for about 120 miles. It worked f ...

One of the reasons I kept the Eurovan over a Vanagon was because it can tow more then double! It's a best of a van.

I checked the manual again both the VW and the Winnebago manuals.

It shows 4 ...

This is the only place I have ever read of the tongue weight rating spec on our EVs. I do not have the original owners manual and the Winni manual does not state. 200lbs seems awfully low for the 4500 ...

I'm kinda surprised that didn't go for more $$$ on BaT.

Same. Even after a new timing belt. Think how hard it is to get replacement parts. Abscate stated that the Westy EV were available in the US. ...

Parked next to the Zueri coffee shop van the other day waiting to get a smog check. Been seeing the van parked at various auto/tire shops all over town.

Does anyone know why VW imported T4 Westies into Canada but not into the US? Instead they chose Winnebago for the (less than awesome) camper conversion for the US. market. I suspect it probably had ...

hitch rating and vehicle rating are 2 different things. MY hitc ...
