I believe the rear tube end should just extent inside the angled frame reinforcement,no?

I still wonder how the loom is routed inside the rear kickup and if it goes under or over the torsion bar housing tube.

How in the world would it be fed in the loom tubing even with a flare.

Just to confirm my Feb 55 Deluxe has the loom tube.

Here is an original loom tube as seen on the June 1953 Greek School Bus (a Deluxe).
Picture is looking forwards towards the front right jackpoin ...

Yes, I agree. Full of errors.

Bus is Colombian (not 'Columbian'). So it has been mis-spelt. And USA incorrectly stated.

And VW seem to have overwritten the early Barndoor M-codes with later Spli ...

Next question - are the lengths the same?

55-66 Luggage Bars are supposedly 1367mm (53 13/16").
1967 Luggage bars are shorter.

Anyone have a length for a Barndoor Deluxe Luggage Bar?
