the gel coat was gone in most places from being out in the sun.

The exposed flake is smooth and there are no signs of the guide coat powder so there should not be any dimples or holes.

So I sanded down and pressure washed my fiberglass dune buggy body.

its fiberglass no need to primer before you do the body work. Do all of that then primer, Featherfill, Sand,Sand some more and then sand again everytime you cut back into the fiberglass add more prime ...

its a stock pedal set up on a 1963 floor pan. The Previous owner removed it and it was not in the box of parts I was given.

just for the record I did not find any brass or alum shavings anywhere in the carb. that pic is before I hit it with carbcleaner and compressed air.

But then again if those ports should be drille ...

So if I go new knock off carbs. When people say clean them what would you recommend.

Removing all the jets screws pump ext ext and blowing carb cleaner though all the holes then compressed air ?

I have no clue what the other specs on the engine are. It was purchased in the car and the seller had less info that I did lol.

The exaust looks like a Empi 55-3373 although its OLD so may be what ...

pulled one of the main top center "jets" the 3 numbers are

f11 emulsion tubes

1.35 main jet

1.75 air jet

I will have to pull the other to check the numbers.

Compression was 80-90 on all 4 cyl. I have a cheap harbor freight tester so may not be exact.And the engine was not exactly warmed up.

Plugs were black with soot. But I am not sure if thats a good ...
