I made a 4” wider beam & decided to not use it after noticing how badly it affected the scrub radius & Ackerman. 6” would have been even worse.

Carefully cut/grind away the weld where the center is attached to the outer hoop.


I made my own jig to cut the hoop so I could insert a steel band (banding) & weld back up.

Why do you want this much braking on the front?

The front of a Beetle is far too light to be able to have enough traction to put but so much brake force. I have Ghia brakes on the front & Type ...
