In response, confirming as an interim solution , the original distributor without vacuum advance is preferable to using the 009 until the 010 is available.

I have managed to get some aerosol cans made up with the Silver beige (L466 only - L277 not available ) and the stone beige L471 for comparison.

Success! I ran an earth cable to tab 31 on the switch only and the wipers work
On a single speed as expected. The early wiper motors have a brass earth under the mount so I didn’t run a separate wire ...

Just confirming that the 31 tab should be “earthed” ?
The wiper motor only has 3 wires in line with switch so do I need to give this separate earth as well ?
