They will shrink up a bit after you drive the bus around for a while. I'd just leave them and concentrate on cleaning that engine compartment! Smile

I believe ethanol caused issues with my sending unit, the rheostat board became warped and wasn't reading correctly, In shimmed it back flat and it works great now.

I usually have the screw part of the screw clamp really close to the seam so it pulls the seam together as you tighten it.

Maybe try rotating the clamp and see it that works?
