I also wanted a stock tailpipe exit, maybe some different tips and extra sound resonators/baffles of some type. Iím using a v band here as well just for fun and to make the tailpipe section removable. ...

Threadsert, I've heard.

Heli-coils blow out in my experience.

Maybe the best option is just to leave it alone? I'm not sure if spark plugs blowing out are normally a problem with boosted motors ...

If you are looking for the most accurate interior top to bottom, probably Lenny Copp at WCCR or maybe Octavio's in So Cal. The correct door panels, seat covers and wool headliner are pricey.

Yes, there is a wear limit spec, but in your case, I would not mess with the end play, just check to make sure it is not a HUGE amount. These things will still run when you are able to grab the pulley ...
