You have to take a bar and pry them back in, as there is no return mechanism like the springs used in drum brakes. Opening the bleeder may help. This

Interesting bit about throwing altitude and air temps into the equation. My bus lives primarily from 3500 to 4500 feet ASL and I wonder if that makes a more advanced or more retarded timing more ideal ...
