Just judging by the condition of the engine bay the car needs a lot of quality time but if "owner is too cheap" to buy the Bentley I doubt the car is gonna get what it needs.

Your engine looks to be an early August 1965 1600, one of the first ones.
Don't despair that it's not the "original" as it looks to be a dealer documented replacement. These things happened ...
