I shipped a pair of nice original patina'd platinum 66 low backs a few years ago East Coast to West Coast.
I dismantled and carefully Jenga'd them into one single box.
Cost was just over 200 bucks ...

First legit fire after 3 years ....bottom line needle cartridge o rings were leaking...flooded really fast. If you watch carefully it was dripping fuel near RF corner of carb....down the intake tube ...

Shock or balance. ??

Use balance beads.. it balances the assembly wheel , tire, drum etc.

I would drain the trans overnight before attempting it because there will be gear oil seeping out of the hole as you are trying to clean it with the trans full of oil.

I've installed the plugs wit the trans in the car.. it's a little aggravating.. but I have access to a hoist and about any automotive tool anyone would ever need.

Easy bake option 1.. and it works ...

Take the sender out of the tank...

Use a jumper circuit from the sender mount base to the car ground.. being sure to leave the sender circuit to the gauge attached.

Test the range of gauge read ...
