I have the same problem at the moment and my mechanic's first reaction was that it's an air bubble in the system that's causing it. Bleeding the fluid could resolve the problem either way. Good luck.

I was wondering the same. My mechanic told me to use 10-40W Valvoline but the VW manual says otherwise (can't remember what now) for driving in 45 - 70F temperatures.....
