I ended up taking mine to a tailor and had a new zipper installed. It was like 50 bucks but much cheaper than buying a new screen.

If you're going to pull the engine, re-seal it and put it in a Jetta why not just pull the engine, re-seal it and put it back in the van?

I remember one of mine wouldn't light/burn very strong so ended up blowing some compressed air through the line and after hearing a quick "floomp" sound it burned nicely.

There is plenty of National Forest surrounding Taos. Dispersed camping upto 14 days (free). No crowds, plenty of resources, and the 4x4s will help find a sweet spot.
