I had the exact same situation. I installed the plug on the side and placed the switch on the back of the MC - itís been working just fine for the past three years.

After a couple of weeks, I was able to replace the fuel pump. Aeromech, I took your advice and installed the Carter inline pump connected to the relay switch you recommended.
