So I just saw in the news online that Bolts have been catching fire when the batteries were being charged to 100% capacity.
It's only been 2 cars so statistic wise it's not...what. It's a fire.

The voltage regulator attempts to hold a constant alternator voltage at all times.
Nominal from VW is 14 volts for our alternators, like it says on the factory label if still present on an alternato ...

I think the owner threw on a significant amount of money and preferred "no parts required" repair rather than start buying "maybe this will be good now" parts.

I change them in about every 5 years.
The rubber hardens and I did not feel safe to drive after that.
That is 50-70000 kms. Depending how much I could use the van.

There were different colors in different years.
The beige-grey is close to RAL 7032

If you take the square lights out of your van (no matter the year), you can mount the round buckets. *Nothing* on the body changed to prevent this.

the only reason not to use a standard fuel hose is the quality of the hoses nowadays.
It can perish in a few years and you will have to do it again.
