Don’t bother trying to read plugs anymore unless you’re running race gas.
Too much crap in the fuel nowadays to make plug reading worthwhile..

Mine is on the spark plug, is not oval'ed out at all, reads the correct temps and is consistently pushing 400 degrees at 70 mph. Nothing a bit of potentiometer magic won't fix....

Find a good local, non-chain exhaust shop near you and they can find something that'll fit. A nice big free flowing unit would work.

Mine did not, and it never seemed to be problematic, even when I ran it through a Minnesota ...
