So you get the “detent” of the shifter going into gear, you release the clutch, and bus doesn’t move? Check the CV joints, their bolts, and the rear axle splines in its hub.

The sharp/machined lip on the inner pulley gives it away as cast iron.

Spin the fuse. Sometimes corrosion can build up between tabs and old fuses. if this works, disconnect the battery and clean all the fuse contacts.

What gearing/tire changes have you made? Stock tires with a stock 002 gets you 68mph at 3,950rpm.

The owners manual for a 1600dp lists about a 4,600 redline, with a rev limiter set at 4,800.
