Beetles and Ghias don't have mustache bars, maybe that's another source of stress on the block.

That's for belt line trim, that's on early deluxe models.

I believe he's looking for the later Euro trim, which sits lower than the belt line, as seen here:

A long time ago I had a weird noise on the rear wheel of my bus. Robbie was with me and got out and pulled the hubcap off and the sound went away. I couldn't believe it.

It wasn't that loud though ...

I guess my real question is, is my mustache bar junk now?
Seems if I use the stock size bolts on my new long block, then they'll be loose in the mustache bar that the PO drilled out.
