I think they were brushed all the way up through so-23ís. I expect their painting got better as they went along.

Iíve always used an appropriately sized Phillips screwdriver instead of a drill bit. Same idea though, works fine.

My original curtain was bright yellow behind the seam. It was not brown like yours.

I forget exactly how the BBT fabric compared to my original, I remember thinking it was close but not perfect.

When you heat up stainless it will turn it a blue color which wonít polish or sand off.

Maybe you can slip a piece of 1/8Ē or 3/16Ē thick x .5Ē wide aluminum bar into the channel and bend both pieces at once?

I would expect a metal rod might be challenging to remove once itís bent.

What year is that? If itís Ď65 and earlier it looks like you are missing the ďcupĒ or itís the wrong spring. Check the parts list for a complete diagram of what you need.

That seal can easily be installed in one piece with the engine installed.

Installing a set of thermostat flaps in the fan shroud would help cool things better.
