I agree with Rebapuck, I got the same Stant cap(NAPA's equivalent). I have a '63 SC and could not fill it up over 1/2 full without fuel spilling into the treasure chest area and dripping on the ground ...

Take your cv joints apart and clean and see if you have any scaring, spalling. ( shiny wear marks is ok) If no damage, reassemble, lube and reinstall. I had to do this last Thursday, found some damage ...
