FINALLY...after pulling the gearbox FOUR times, the noise is gone. Dancing

This last go-round I found that the fourth gear bushing was very worn. So much so that after cleaning all the oil off of it ...

Well...I installed the new bearing so now I've replaced all bearings and the R&P and the noise is still there.

those double bearings can be had from Long Enterprises in CA and I found one at my local Purvis Bearing place.

I tried both of those places for the bearing I need and no luck. I did talk to one of ...

Make you own. Cut some 18ga sheet metal into small sized Triangle shapes

Then pop rivet those to the frame. This is what I did and it is very simple to do and works very well.

I'm convinced that this is as good as I'm gonna get with this set. I have spend several hours tweaking in every direction possible and it's still not to my liking. What you see there is with NO shims ...
