In my experience the most important issue was the gaps in the gearing, keep them as small as possible. I'd give up some top speed to keep them tight. Esp. if you are going to be cruising in the mtns. ...

Are you saying that if you go into a FLAPS and ask for a syncro frt bearing seal they are going to give you the wrong one?

At 15$ it's now an easy decision but they were 45$ the last time I replace ...

Had the same thing happen. Installed 2 new cylinders from NAPA and they both blew out the first time I drove it afterwards and it was about -20. replaced with new ones from GW and haven't had an issue ...

I'd try getting it out without removing the housing. If the washers drop in you can probably ge them out with a magnet or wire. If that fails then the housing comes off. Keep it simple and enquiring m ...

Why not just make a "spacer" that fits between a stock Westy roof and the stock poptop?

It would be tough to get that to not looked cobbled together and you would lose some of the fron ...
