I've tried both 165 and 155's on my VW. IMO, the 155's feel lighter and more nimble.

Once your have your heater channels open, I would recommend welding in some metal to stiffen your chassis. You'll be amazed how much it will change (improve) your ride quality.

I've tried a number of different solutions for my swing axle woes, and the best solution by far is a camber regulator designed for 356's.

If they're all aluminum, you'll have to replete them after they're opened up. The last time I checked (10 years ago), the plater LN uses charged $1000 for a set of 4 cylinders.
