I would swap out the condensor. It does happen and may be your cause..

I would try an isolate the ignition switch. Look at the diagrams and see if you are able to bypass.

Not sure what part of Arizona you are located. Some of the diagnosis may require an assistant. By the way do you have any manuals.

I used the plastic center caps for some time till the real deal ones showed up here in the classifieds. I was lucky to have a spare one.
Wow just looked at the classifieds. Pricey for those.

Try using a putty knife slipped in between the seat & the rail. Then a small screw driver forcing seat to the rear and pop it over the rail. Try that.

I did use the non electric style for a while until the 45's came in from Volkbitz. I was rich on the idles, well at 6500' we don't have the air to run a higher idle jet.

You could source out the stock solex idle jet, non electric. I have done that and they do work. On the pdsit carb the idle cut off are way different then the other style of solex carb. Do consider ...

May have missed this in the presentation, after adjusting the shoes did he press the brake pedal a few times to recenter the shoes on the drums. Yes it is a minor detail but should be done.

Took about 7 weeks to obtain my type 3 door panels and they lined up fine. Double check your clips and stuff also compare to the old panels.
