this one is not so bad , i use Kaiser cutting head upwards of 13K

the finish is ultimate, tolerance within 0.005 mm

Boring out holes is easy, no problem. What is hard is facing a surface flat at the bottom of the hole.


THe automatic facing head expands say, .004" each revolution, so it's only cutting .0 ...

The 1300 F has tiny oil passages, and a tiny oil pick up tube,

i would at least go and look for a AB case

I wouldnt use them at all, unlesss this 2275 is low DCR. (A lot of cam duration like FK10 or 87) They are too warm. Dependant on DCR and use of the car/engine you need at least 1 number colder, maybe ...

Horrible - an .009 centrifugal with Pertronix points, blue coil, NGK long reach as I have big valve heads on it. I am seriously considering going to a CB Magnaspark ...

Had a set of kolbenschmidt main bearings and the split bearing 1 half was warped, ttok me an afternoon to figure it out, now i only use silver line steel backs

Don't use the paper gaskets under the cylinders,

also do not apply anything on the oil pump gaskets.

Update;

Today was a very hot day, i drove for about 20 miles,

and after about 10 miles i was waiting at a red light and the noise went away.

will check again tomorrow when the engine is cold.
