Yup. Most probably use loc-tite on them, so might take a bit to break them loose

Decided to install a "vintage" looking fan to help keep us cool.

try a nut splitter on the nuts and heat up the heat riser bolts and tap on a slightly smaller socket and twist them off, does not matter if you break those 4 as they are part of the muffler. or use an ...

Maybe the one for my 71 is different. The part where the window attaches was plastic but metal in the original.
