| If you can't remove all of the rust I would push the nozzle with flux-core or MIG. It's hard enough to keep the electrode from getting contaminated with perfectly clean metal. | |

| Try to taper the stud so a extractor socket can get hammered onto it when hot. . I would use the Irwin spiral ones. Maybe use 2 mapp torches to heat the base metal at the same time. | |

| Yes. Just years with the vents rust there. Salt-water/water gets in the vents. The 'Dealth Foam" absorbs it and you get a rust issue there.
