Open vs. closed seams and whether weld nuts are on the tube clamps have been covered previously.

Also, the length of the wire entry slot and width of the flared ends vary by year.

The tin with the rotated generator mounting holes is for a '66, so the voltage regulator can clear the electric cut-off switch on the side of the 30 PICT-1 carburetor.

It's rare, but sometimes the glass "nipple" between the three prongs gets snapped off when the socket is pressed into place.

My Sept 60 car made in Australia has Bosch lenses that have the large VW logo at the top and at the base has "1029' in the glass. They 'look' original?

The fuel tap is the '56 and later type, without the bowl and filter.

The earlier style tap is still available and does not cost an arm and leg. WW carries them under 211209021B for $99 US.

Use a mounting screw for a '58 and later front turn signal. They have the correct diameter head and are not hard to find.

Does that include luggage compartment and back of seat?
I assume it would but have seen luggage rails on the back of the seat in later cars. I am assuming they were owner added…
