Having fought with this issue...why not delete the radio and add gauges with the fastfab panel and use a hidden Bluetooth amp for sounds. Itís a super sweet setup.

I tried heat with a small torch. Canít get it hot enough.

I tried a chisel and a hammer. Wonít budge.

Any 6mm tool I manage to get in there just rounds the inside.

I'd suggest losing the Monza exhaust in favor of something stock-ish. Really can't tell what's exhaust leaks vs engine noise. I feel your pain.

Most of the head temp gauges are kinda iffy. Depending where they are taking the reading, if they are compensated or non-compensated, etc.

Your temps do sound cold, but with coatings, free flowing ...

GM had "port" injection through the 80's. Carb body with an injector placed overhead where the throttle pump nozzle sits. Super cool mod for stock-ish builds. Just make it affordable.
