There is an adapter set of bushings/fittings to allow the use of the larger 1 1/2" hoses to fit the smaller 1/ 1/4"/earlier pipes of the Vanagon[ sorry ALIKA T3, 32mm and 38mm..... Wink ...

Interesting, looks like your breather tower has a vent hole above the diaphragm while the original has the vent hole below the diaphragm (asaik). Where did you buy your breather tower?
