Nice Carat!

I'd love to know the secret of 23+mpg. I rarely get better than 19mpg in my 1990 Carat.

Phil, I think to get that odo apart to the extent you did, one has to remove the small coiled spring from the speedo spindle. How did you do that without mangling it?

Thanks, for that. I've seen someone's pix of the whole thing apart so it seems possible to get the odo component off of the speedo shaft. Looks dicey to me.

Get you some "Right Stuff" gasket maker and forget about the O-ring. I recently used it very effectively for the same application.
