Pelican iM2700 Storm fits the spare location perfectly with a Van-Cafe carrier. Clears the steering rod by 1 inch (syncro). Light press fit against the shift rod cover. Have not tried to fit in a 2wd ...

This is my daily driver. A tank lasts me more than two months. Combined with inspections to keep my van running clean I'm doing what I can.

I bought a Jensen Heavy Duty. Bluetooth, USB, Weather Band. No CD. Sounds good. Great build quality. Under $200 bucks. Love it.

If you're not precious about originality you could just go to the plumbing section and find a cap that fits the diameter of the pipe and screw that to the floor.
