Usually a defective booster gives a very hard pedal. Not sure about booster line but check the flex lines ballooning under pressure

My experience was a clogged fuel line/ filter. Enough gas would seep thru between each fail to fire up the engine for a few seconds.

The top bolt has a nut on the engine side . Remove that and push the bolt thru

I suggest you refinish the interior wood panels. A light sanding and a wash coat of stain to match the interior,then semi gloss varathane.

My bus, not deluxe, the sink power comes directly from a fuse link at the fuse panel. The feed wire goes under the carpet,through the seat pillar to the cabinet.

The empi shifter comes with 2 plates that fit between the floor and the shifter . The instructions say to use the 1/2 spacer for your bus but I found the taller one worked better
