Slowly restoring a '73, working on the real wheel wells, specifically the wall / bulkhead ahead of the wheels, behind the seats. Mostly rusted away, trying to replicate or at least repair the area.

Yerf. Well, Remove the valve covers, undo the rocker arm shaft nuts (Save those copper washers!), pull and label all the pushrods so they go back in the same place.

You're good. I've run plenty of times without tailpipes, no problem except a louder exhaust.
