was trying to service my spare pedal, found the pushrod rusted bad , tried to remove the nut and tap the threads, found out it is M9 x 1.

kinda weird thread VW used for this, any specific reason? ...

I'd get a complete brake hardware kit, inexpensive. Even local parts stores can get those readily or may stock them.

Will try out other stores, some kits have everything apart from the pins

Well, no, not all "40idf" use the same size venturi.

The vents CB sells for 40 idf, will fit your 36 idfs, they are the same.
41mm bore for the venturi & full round auxiliary v ...

36 IDF venturis have the same dimensions as venturis for 40 IDF70/71

so any venturi for 40 IDF will fit 36 IDF or are there any late/early versions?

CB doesnt sell anything for 36, only 40IDF above. cant even find repair kit.
