Did you do the modifications on the shift rod when you converted it from auto to manual? It's been a long long time since ex-hubby did this but if I remember right something had to be welded on.

These holes are really so small that I would just clean up the area really well with a wire brush and weld a new piece of metal over it. Then POR 15 the sh*t out of them.

1968 2 door Sedan; Deluxe Model RHD with sliding roof

I believe the second one is a 1973...are the taillights bigger on this one?

I had the same problem with my 69. I tried cutting the latch off but the hood would still not come up. I ended up taking a sawzall to it. Crying or Very sad Needless to say I'm looking for a new hood now.

If your door panels have armrests you'll need to lift up and then out. There is a metal bar that the armrests attach to on the back of the door panel.
