So my shaft spacer is cracked, and shaft slipped back some. I pulled the shaft out more and tried to repair the spacer.

It doesn't honk when steering on, or while turning, but does with button pres ...

Okay, still having issues.

So I swapped my ignition housing with a different one that the third screw hole that now holds the stalk as seen below.

So this recently happened to me, but a new contact ring didn't resolve it.

I noticed the 3rd bottom screw fir the stalk will not tighten, so not sure if related.

Any other suggestions.

Cool, Karl mentioned an optical tach to get a gauge off the timing belt crank I believe it was. I plan on using that when the temperature isn't a hundred and hell here.

So my alt plug had a W stamped, and it did work briefly, but stopped. I checked plug and found a loose connector so crimped it more.

Okay, giving an update here.

5000 miles on the new engine and loving it!

One lesson learned in a minor gotcha easily recoverable.

That is, use T-bolt clamps around the inter-cooler piping on ...

You can get as accurate as you can read the sloppy analog dial. Mine idles about 1000 and runs accurate all the way up. ...

Karl, I think that turning of the fuel screw did it. I think it just backed out as you suggested.
